35 More Things To Declutter From Your Life That You’re Guaranteed Not To Miss
#15, Takeout Condiments
Between packing up my old apartment and settling into my life in a new city, I’ve been hesitant to let things go. Partially because it’s been a difficult move but mostly because my cheap self hates buying new things. As a result, I hold onto junk a little longer than I should. But I recently took some time off and cleaned out every drawer, cupboard, surface, electronic device, nook, and cranny in my apartment. Here’s what I purged from my place and don’t miss.
In The Bathroom
1. Sample Sizes
I couldn’t remember when I got most of these and assumed that they were probably expired anyway. After opening a few and confirming that they were indeed past their pickup date and that I’d had no plan to use them even if they hadn’t been, I tossed the entire bag in the garbage. Going forward, I’ll be displaying any samples that I get prominently on my bathroom counter so that I’ll remember to use them up on time and not amass a whole collection.
2. Dull Nail Files
It wasn’t until I bought a new nail file that I realized how worn out my old ones were. And since I only need one at a time, I got rid of the rest.
