Between packing up my old apartment and settling into my life in a new city, I’ve been hesitant to let things go. Partially because it’s been a difficult move but mostly because my cheap self hates buying new things. As a result, I hold onto junk a little longer than I should. But I recently took some time off and cleaned out every drawer, cupboard, surface, electronic device, nook, and cranny in my apartment. Here’s what I purged from my place and don’t miss.

1. Punch Cards
I love a freebie, but I hardly ever eat out anymore and most places can pull up your account with a phone number anyway. So there’s no reason to keep these around anymore.
2. Loose Papers
I started a new job last year. And to call it a new role would be a bit of an understatement. I was a bit out of my depth trying to get up the speed for the first six months or so, and the remnants of that period of time were stacks on stacks of furious scribbles all over my apartment. I’m still a pen and paper kind of gal, but I’ve found that a much better way to keep all my papers under control is to pick up a few notebooks and designate one for each major project at work…
