5 Things I Loved About This Week
March 25–31
Since getting engaged, married, moving, changing jobs, bringing home our first puppy, and now trying to start a family with my new husband, I have more to be grateful for than I could ever put into words.
For lack of a better word, this year’s been a ride.
But amid all that excitement, I had a health scare, cut contact with my family of origin, and found myself uninspired at the job I was supposed to love.
So that’s why I’m starting this series — A weekly rundown of everything I did, learned, and discovered to make my days great, to become a better version of myself, and to show up where it matters most.
1. I Trimmed My To-Do Lists
And I stopped obsessing over constant productivity.
Instead of spending my days a slave to unnecessarily long to-do lists, I limited myself to just five must-do tasks and three “might-dos.”
I did this for two reasons.
- I have a hard time relaxing on my own.
- I was burning myself out with busy work.
What shocked me though was that my “do-less” approach ended up making me much more productive than before.
