From what I've seen, this is exaggerated when some of the team is in-office and others are remote. The remote folks are forced to overcompensate relative to their onsite teammates while also not having the same access to information from management.

Ultimately, that's a management problem and not for the remote employees to worry about. But that's much easier said than done if you find yourself feeling out of the loop on the job.
