I’m one of four kids. Boomer parents. My dad worked a lot, but my mom could stay at home with us.

They could buy a week’s worth of groceries when my brother was in his teens (eating probably double what everyone else was eating) for under $300 no problem but still my mom bemoaned the cost.

It is not the same now for so many reasons yet millennials and Gen Zs are still trying to be better parents than what they knew growing up. That’s commendable to say the least.

What I mean is that if I wanted to raise four kids now, it would cost double or triple to do that easily.
