Thank you for saying this. Disordered eating and fraught relationships with food come in a myriad of patterns. But they are all incredibly difficult to break free from.

As someone who struggled on and off with an ED for seven years starting at the tender age of about 9 (thank you older sisters I guess), it has taken years to find a healthy and sustainable relationship with food. Overeating and undereating are both unhealthy and it frustrates me that that's not said more. When I was in recovery I ping ponged between both extremes and both sides of the coin played their part in wrecking my health at the time.
